Cut plastic

Cut plastic!

Plastic exists everywhere, around food, in most products and much more. It is useful and easy to use plastic, but what kind of consequences do we get by using plastic as much as we do now? We have to change the way of how we use so much plastic, and u have to start somewhere. Since humans are too lazy to change their lifestyle right away, we should start with a public places, the supermarket.

As I mentioned before plastic has some consequences. Plastic takes extremely long time to degrade it can take from 10- 600 years and most of that plastic we consume is thrown to the sea. That puts the life under the sea at risk. For example animals can get tangled, which can hurt and give awful consequences.  Besides the animals under the sea aren't like us that are able to know what's edible and what's not. There was a whale that was found diseased not long ago with around 30 plastic bags in his belly. That also happens with other fish, they somehow accumulate plastic then end up sick or lifeless. Assuming how the plastic is able to trick their way up the foodchain so fast then the question will be when will it reach us and is it dangerous for us?

The problem with plastic is also that we don't know how to degrade the plastic that we use in a environment friendly way. If we burn the plastic up, it will release dangerous chemicals and if we throw it to the sea it's dangerous for the life under the sea. In addition plastic takes extremely long time to degrade so it is a very big problem. Therefor we have to reduce the production of plastic in this case plastic bags. We don't need plastic around every food packing, for fruits and vegetables. We don't need plastic bags for bread or other baked goods when they already have a paper bag.

In many occasions we use plastic in the wrong way, we use and throw away plastic on unnecessary things, that can lead to problems. We have other bags to set the goods that we buy in. Besides if stores cut out the use of plastic it may make people understand. It is a start. In France it isn't allowed to sell plastic bags, they have started something by doing that. They are making a difference. If they are able to do it why aren't we?
